Day 1: Athens - Cairo
Direct flight to the capital of Egypt, Cairo. Arrival and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Cairo (Alexandria)
Full day road trip to Alexandria where we will see the Ellinorthodoxo Patriarchate, the historic monastery of St. Sava, the House / Museum of Greek poet Constantine Cavafy, the Ellinoromaiko museum buildings of the Greek Community, the royal gardens Editing the palace of King Farouk and of course the New Library of Alexandria recently reopened its doors to the public. Lunch at local restaurant and return late afternoon in Cairo.
Day 3: Cairo (Pyramids - Sphinx)
The whole day dedicated to the tour of Cairo. We will visit the Archaeological Museum which houses priceless masterpieces from the glorious era of the Pharaohs and gives a complete picture of the evolution of the ancient civilization that flourished on the banks of the Nile over 3000 years. From the main exhibits are the treasures found in the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of Kings and the statues of Karnak in Luxor.Then we move away from Cairo, Giza in the area to visit the Pyramids and the famous Sphinx. Pyramids, one of the seven wonders of the world, are the tombs of the Pharaohs and the focus is on the largest of the three pyramids, that of Cheopos. Next to it stands the stone edifice of the Sphinx with the face of King Khafra and body of a lion.After lunch at local restaurant continue to the famous market of Al-Khalili with folk art.
Day 4: Cairo - Luxor - Cruise
Morning flight to Luxor and boarding the luxurious riverboat. Tour the east bank in Luxor Temple and the Temple of Karnak. These two unique architectural monuments certainly which will not have the entire planet. The "forest of columns" in the main temple of Karnak and the unique spectacle of the temple of Luxor with statues and intelligent design concept will be closed in the best way the unique journey of some 200 km from the spectacular Luxor to Aswan. Lunch and dinner on a riverboat.
Day 5: Cruise
Tour in the West bank of the Nile to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Unique funerary monuments, elaborately trimmed for life eternal and worthy of the grandeur of the pharaohs! Lunch and dinner on a riverboat.
Day 6: Cruise
Morning visit to the temple of the god Horus and the temple of Kom Ombo. Then departure to Edfu, where we visit the homonymous church. Lunch and dinner on a riverboat.
Day 7: Cruise tour
of Big Dam Asouan, and the Temple of the Isle of man. Afternoon ride on the picturesque feluccas on the Nile where we circumnavigate the Isle Elefantini will see from afar the mausoleum of Aga Xan dominating the opposite hill and visit the botanical garden. Lunch and dinner on a riverboat
Day 8: Cruise - Aswan - Cairo - Athens
Transferring from the riverboat transport to the airport and return flight to Athens via Cairo.
